Magdalene Glotzbach Ice, 97, Topeka, died Thursday, June 16, 2005, at Catholic Care Center in Wichita.

She was born Feb. 23, 1908, near Paxico, the daughter of Joseph and Christine Fischer Glotzbach. She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church in Topeka.

She married Albert L. Ice on May 11, 1931, in Topeka. He died April 3, 1990.

Survivors include three sons, William and Margie Ice, Brunswick, Ohio, Gerald and Bonnie Ice, Findlay, Ohio, and Thomas Ice, Elmsford, N.Y.; five daughters, Carolyn and Francis May, St. Joe (Ost), Theresa and Joe Boley, Sand Springs, Okla., Sister Joan Ice, OP, Concordia, Rita and David Johnson Jr., Tacoma, Wash., and Cathy Fuller and her husband, Allen, Arkansas City; 24 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Name Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Ice will lie in state after 2 p.m. Sunday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Name Catholic Church and sent in care of the funeral home, 800 S.W. 6th St., Topeka.
