Samuel "Sam" A. Heath, Sr., 74, of Fostoria, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital, in Fostoria.
He was born January 22, 1946, in Fremont, to Edward Ellsworth and Sarah Ellen (Runion) Heath. He married Kathy Jo (Gregg) on May 18, 1996, in Spencerville, OH, and she survives him in Fostoria.
Also surviving are children, Donna Heath, Sandy (John) Stark, Tina Heath, Samuel Heath, Jr., Amy Bishop, and James (Alyssa) Heath, all of Fostoria; step-children, Cammie Fetro, of Fostoria, Dale Fetro, of Fostoria, Edward Fetro, of Republic, Ronnie (Carol) Fetro, of Fostoria, and De Ann Lewis, of Tiffin; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, and 23 step-great-grandchildren; one brother, Tim (Janice) Fish, of Tiffin, and four sisters, Bonnie Fish, of Tiffin, Virginia (John) Michaels, and Linda (Bud) Ickes, of Kansas, OH, and Cathy (Chuck) Hill, of Findlay.
He was preceded in death by his father Edward Heath, and his mother Sarah Ellen Fish, and a brother, James Heath.
Sam was a truck driver for Fostoria Iron and Metal, retiring in 2007, after 40 + years of service. He loved to go fishing, camping, and working on cars. He was truly a family man, and loved being with his children and grandchildren.
Private services have been entrusted to MANN-HARE-HOENING Funeral Home, Fostoria.
