NEAL Judy Sharon Jewell, age 71, of Lexington, KY passed away Mon, Feb 1, 2016. She was born in 1944 to Marshall and Willaughdean Jewell in Louisville, KY. She married Marshall Lee Neal in 1965. She worked as a Registered Nurse for over 30 years including Saint Joseph Hospital, Ask-A-Nurse and Nurses Registry. Her true passion was her work with the Kentucky United Methodist Volunteers in Mission providing short-term medical mission opportunities to many different places to demonstrate "Christian love in action." Judy participated in trips around the world including Uganda and several locations in South America. When she wasn't serving on medical teams she was coordinating mission trips for teams all over the world. Judy served as the Kentucky Volunteers In Mission Conference Coordinator and also as coordinator for the Southeastern Jurisdiction. She is survived by her three children, Lisa Kay Neal, Marshall Allen Neal and James Lee Neal and wife Kelly (Rivel) and three grandchildren, Grace, Hannah and Jonathan; sister, Patricia Tudor; brothers, Dennis, Greg, Gary, Jeffrey and Bruce Jewell all of Louisville. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Willaughdean (Logsdon) and Marshall Jewell of Louisville; as well as her husband, Marshall Lee Neal of Oldham County.
