Dustin A. Powell
HOOPESTON Dustin A. Powell, 25, of Hoopeston, died at 3:20 p.m. Friday (Jan. 16, 2004) at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
Dustin was born June 7, 1978 in Danville, the son of Cindy Harper Powell and Ivor Powell Jr.
Survivors include: his mother of Hoopeston and his father of Hoopeston; a brother, Bill (Sharon) Powell of Petersburg, Tenn.; grandparents, Wilbur and Barbara Harper of Hoopeston and Isabelle Powell of Hoopeston; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather.
Dustin graduated from Hoopeston Area High School in 1996. He was a member of the Lone Wolf Car Club in Hoopeston.
He enjoyed wrestling and was an avid Chicago White Sox fan. He also enjoyed being with his family and friends, and the special relationship he had with his cousin, Jordan.
Funeral services: 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, 2004, at Hamilton-Orr Funeral Home, 427 E. Main St., Hoopeston; Officiating: Rev. Janet Eggleston; Burial: Floral Hill Cemetery; Visitation: 4-7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 18 at the funeral home.
