Betty Jane Swadener, 85, from Snohomish, WA, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 23, 2018. Betty was born on January 24, 1933 in Seattle, WA, to Alva and Ethyl Swadener. She worked at John Fluke Manufacturing and Sundstrand Corporation. She was a member of the Basenji Club of America and the UMCI Motorcycle Club. Betty will be remembered for her great sense of humor and love of language and her deep love for animals, especially her dogs and cats. She was a generous and thoughtful friend to many and we will hold her in our hearts until we meet again in Heaven. A celebration of her life will be held at Blythe Park in Bothell, WA, on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to Habitat for Humanity or Senior Services of Snohomish County.

Betty Jane Swadener married Russell James Barton on September 30, 1955 in Seattle. Their marriage lasted about six months and there were no children born to this union. The date and location of their divorce is unknown. She never remarried and resumed using her maiden name.
