RUTH WELLS, age 84, daughter of Gettys O. Wells and Florence (Bowers) Wells passed away peacefully Thursday, April 30, 2020 in Williston, OH. She was born on the Wells family farm in Glenwillow, OH on December 21, 1935. She was the sister of Gene (Elaine) Wells and Shirley (Dan) Taussig. Loving aunt of Jeff (Reggie) Taussig, Bob (Charlotte) Taussig, Brian (Diana) Taussig, Cindy (Bob) Deily, Dan (Amy) Taussig, Sue (Marty) Skovran and Jim (Cora) Wells. Great aunt and great-great aunt to many.
Ruth was known for her sweet smile and kindness. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Ruth’s great-great grandfather Oliver W. Wells arrived in Solon, OH in 1820 as part of the Western Reserve migration. Ruth is the last direct descendant of the Wells family in Ohio and passed away exactly 200 years after the arrival of her ancestors.
