Mrs. Brenda Katherine Vance Osborne, age 68, of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Friday (May 1, 2020) at her home. Born September 4, 1951 in Russell County, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Howard Woodrow and Viola D. Dotson Vance. A lifelong resident of the area, she was of the Freewill Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Danny Vance, and three sisters, Eula Gay Helton, Phyllis Hazel James, and Wanda Mae “Sue” Street.
Survivors include her husband, James Osborne of the home; one son, Stephen Edward Osborne and wife, April of Big Stone Gap; two grandchildren, David Kenneth Osborne and Carla Jean Osborne; two sisters, Lisa Musick and husband, Sherman and Rita Stevens all of Honaker; two brothers, Beecher Vance and wife, Alice of Ohio and Estil Vance and wife, Charlotte of Honaker; brother-in-law, Ronnie Street; several nieces and nephews also survive.
In consideration of health and well-being of others and in respect of the guidelines of the CDC and the Commonwealth of Virginia services will be a private family gathering with Rev. Don Sullivan and Rev. Troy Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Ketron Memorial Gardens at Lebanon, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Lester, Wayne Vance, Sherman Musick, Larry Deskins, Gary Deskins, and Rex Osborne.
