Carol Diane Dunn passed away on April 28, 2020.

She was born on August 4, 1953 to Richard and Margaret Elliott.

Diane grew up in San Antonio and graduated from Trinity University. She continued her love of learning and earned two masters degrees. Diane was a very special person who loved her family dearly. Two of her greatest accomplishments were her children Kevin and Kari. She treasured her role as “Nanny” to her four grandchildren. She spent over 20 years teaching high school in Corpus Christi. She loved working with kids and was a favorite teacher amongst many of her students. She spent many hours leading different science clubs throughout her teaching years. She loved helping her students learn and grow in academics. She moved back to San Antonio in 2010 and received her LPC license. She began counseling those in need and excelled at her profession.

In 2012 she met and married her loving husband, Patrick, whom she affectionately called her “Hero.” They spent seven wonderful years together, traveling when possible and enjoying their assorted rescue pets. Diane and Patrick enjoyed two months together after her release from the hospital. Diane enjoyed this time listening to the wind chimes on the porch and playing with her poodle and three cats before she was called to Heaven. Everyone that knew Diane loved her and her beautiful smile.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Margaret Elliott.

She is survived by her husband, Patrick Dunn of San Antonio, TX; her son Kevin Hartung (Sarah) of San Antonio, TX; her daughter Kari Pack (Mike) of Corpus Christi, TX; her grandchildren Harlow and Grant Hartung and Brynn and Noah Pack; her sister, Barbara Stalbird (Bobby) of Fredericksburg, TX; and numerous other family members.

Due to the current Covid 19 guidelines, the service and burial will be private.
