Our beloved mother, Carol Yvonne McClanahan 71, left this earthly real to rest in the shadow of the Almighty on April 23, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Stella Lottier; her brothers, Butch and Bobby; and her eldest sister, Captolia “Cappy” Callahan. She enjoyed listening to her gospel music, especially Kirk Franklin, Rance Allen, and Tamela Mann. She also loved watching her movies and soaps, making crafts, and playing bingo. She was a member of Elevation Church, Roanoke, VA. She was a CNA for 21 years at Pulaski Community
Hospital, Pulaski, VA, before retiring. Those left to cherish her memories are: her daughter, Stacey Nicolle McClanahan of Roanoke, VA; her son, James (Jenny) McClanahan, II of Mint Hill, NC; their father, James R. McClanahan, I of Pulaski, VA; sisters, Patricia Carter, Estelle Hayden, and Jennifer Lottier; a beloved brother, Joe Lottier; three wonderful grandkids; three wonderful greatgrandsons; a caring friend, Niesha “Puddin” Gaines; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and her McClanahan/Poindexter family.
A private Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2020, in the Hamlar-Curtis Chapel.
