Son of Dennis and Nita Clayton Reid

Dennis Ray Reid, 56 passed away December 8, 2013 after a long illness. He was a resident of Williamsburg since 1988.

Dennie was born in Hughes Creek, WV where he attended school and graduated. He then went into the military. After the service, he resided in Kansas for 10 years then relocated to Virginia. Dennie loved to build and race his race car along with cooking, hunting, fishing and cutting his grass. Dennie was a person who never knew a stranger, and no matter where he went, he always came back with a new friend. He was so much fun, and crazy as they come. You always knew you'd leave with a smile.

He is preceded in death by his late wife, Tammy Vaughan Reid; father, Dennis Clayton Reid; niece, Isabella Lynn Back; as well as maternal and paternal grandparents. He is survived by his current wife, Lorie Reid; mother, Nita Jean Reid; daughters, Jennifer Reid Darling (Tom) and Nicole Reid, both of Kansas; step-children, Cheyenne, Autumn and Lucus of Williamsburg. He is also survived by his sisters, Lisa Lynn Hamrick (Brian) and Susan Back DeMersman (Patrick); brothers, Lawrence Allen Reid (Deborah) and Brent Alan Reid (Darlinda); grandchildren, Rylie and Cole Darling of Kansas; nephews whom he loved dearly, Trey, Colbie, Jacob, Ben, Caleb, Chris and Ryan.
