Hazel Margaret (Parks) Harper, age 98, of Fort Worth, Texas, formerly of Mt. Morris, Michigan passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018, at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital. A funeral service will take place Thursday, September 13, 2018, at 11:00 am at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor Mark Hutchins will officiate with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park. Hazel's family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.

Hazel was born on June 4, 1920, in Bloomfield, Missouri, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elvis and Eulalia (Crain) Parks. Hazel met and married John Harper on January 25, 1940, in Bloomfield. She was a member of several organizations including the Ladies Auxiliary VFW #1451 and the Ladies Auxiliary DAV. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, her dog, Harper and her love for good food. She will be deeply missed by her family.

Left to cherish her memory are her four daughters: Margo, Judith, and husband, Michael, Susan and husband, Greg, Terri; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and one sister: Betty Jo.

Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, John Harper, parents, three brothers, and granddaughter, Michelle Cotton.
