Carol Little passed away on April 29, 2020 at the home of her son, Doug Little, in Janesville, WI. Carol was born on June 1, 1929 in North Jackson, Ohio to Harry and Maud (Hollabaugh) Roth. She was an only child, as her older sister, Mary, died 20 years earlier as a baby. Carol was raised on a farm near North Jackson, and in Rosemont, an unincorporated community in Mahoning County, Ohio. She attended Fenn College (now Cleveland State University) and married Charles Myron Little on September 12, 1949. She and Charles had five children. She was divorced in 1970, and married Ross Hallas in 1975, and divorced 3 years later. She married Herbert Peck on November 12, 1989, and they were together for eighteen years before he passed away on March 21, 2007. Carol lived at a variety of locations in Ohio, Indiana and Michigan, but retired to Cherokee Village, Arkansas where she and Bert enjoyed several years of retirement together, 1991-2007. Carol loved to travel. She traveled throughout the United States and Canada, and to many foreign countries. She made several overseas trips with her daughter Patricia; the last one to Spain and Portugal when she was 82. Prior to her retirement, Carol lived in Clawson, MI and worked for the State of Michigan in social services for 19 years. She came to live at the senior living facility, Lake Barrington Woods, in Lake Barrington, IL, to be near her son, Doug, in July of 2012. In February (2020) she moved in with Doug in Janesville, WI. Carol is survived by four children; Ray (Marty Grenetsko) of San Diego, CA, Patricia (Dale) Brandes of Tracy, CA, Doug (Jerry Abb) and Ann (Charlie) Richardson of Perry, OH; daughter-in-law (Marie) of Howell, MI; five grandchildren: Nathaniel and Andrew Brandes of San Ramon, CA, Barbara Little of Chicago, IL, Sara (Kyle) Hoeft of Kentwood, MI, and Russell Little of Pleasanton, CA; and one great-grandson; Harrison Hoeft of Kentwood, MI. Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Bert Peck, and her son, David Little. Carol’s remains will be buried in the family plot in the Jackson Township Cemetery, North Jackson, Ohio.
