Mrs. Bertha Bell Titus, wife of Herman R. Titus, 20 Market Space, died at Frederick Memorial Hospital Friday at 5:40 p.m., after an illness of two months, aged 57 years. She was a daughter of the late John H. and Maude Mayhew Jewell. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She had been employed for a number of years in the coat department at the Frederick Tailoring Company. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are one daughter, Mrs. Lester Cain, this city; a brother, Clarence Jewell, Lime Kiln; one sister, Mrs. Edward F. Woodward, this city: three half-brothers, Earl Jewell, Buckeystown; Walter Jewell and Garland Jewell, both of Columbus, Ohio; two grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. The body is at the funeral home, 106 East Church street, where friends may call. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Tuesday at 2 p m. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery. M. R. Etchison and Son funeral directors.
