RD (Rodney) Jackson, 59, passed away in Peoria, IL., on Friday, April 17, 2020 at 6:45 a.m.
after a long illness of fighting cancer. He was born on July 21, 1960, in Peoria, the son of Raymond D. and Jaqueline S. Roloff Jackson.
RD is survived by a son, Brian (Rhiannon) Jackson of Denver, CO; a daughter, Savannah Gritta of Cleveland, TX; his mother, Jaqueline S. (Tim) Chronister of Peoria; 2 sisters, Jennifer L.
Hartman of Peoria and Renee S. Jackson of Mossville, IL; a brother, Michael
Chronister of Peoria; 2 grandsons; 4 granddaughters; and several nieces, nephews,
great-nieces and great-nephews.
His father, 2 sons, paternal & maternal grandparents preceded him in death.
RD was a carpenter by trade and made a living rebuilding and remodeling. He was an avid fisherman and loved to camp. He had a passion for singing and playing guitar as well as riding horses, roping, and bull-riding.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a private family service will be held.
There will be a Celebration of Life after the current state of affairs is cleared up.
