Gladys Ruth Phillips 82 of Granite Falls passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018 at her residence. Born August 10, 1936 in Ashe County she was the daughter of the late Bertha Wilcox. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Ray Phillips; and son Steve Phillips. She is survived by one daughter Vickie L. Crump and husband Greg of Hudson; four sons Larry D. Phillips of Lenoir, Bobby J. Phillips of Granite Falls, Johnny E. Phillips and wife Donna of Granite Falls, Michael L. Phillips of Lenoir ; seven grandchildren, Angela, Krista, Brandon, Shawn, Leyton, Jaden, and Kayla; five great grandchildren Katie, Ava, Bella, C.J., and Tavion. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 26, 2018, 2:00 p.m. at Harvest Church in Hudson with Pastor Kevin T. Beard officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Hills Cemetery, Granite Falls. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
