Ronald Clayton Jacobs, Sr., age 80, of Leslie, Michigan, was surrounded by his family at home when he went to be with the Lord on April 10, 2020. Ronald was born in Tecumseh, Michigan on April 25, 1939 to Duane and June (Yensch) Jacobs, who have preceded him in death.

Ronald worked for Ryerson Haynes-Goodyear of Jackson until he and his wife, Sharon, moved to Florida. In Florida, he worked for Pinellas County Sewer Department until his retirement. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, bowling, working with cattle and farm auctions. He loved going to his great-grandkids’ sporting events.

Along with his parents, Ronald is preceded in death by his daughter, Pamela Hemstreet; twin brother, Donnie; brothers, Gerald “Jerry” and Denny; sister, Shirley; and brother-in-law, Bob Horton.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years and the love of his life, Sharon Kaye (Titler) Jacobs; son, Ronald (Vicki) Jacobs, Jr.; son-in-law, Gary Hemstreet; grandchildren, Ronald (Rachel) Jacobs III and Brandon (Dani Drumm) Jacobs; great-grandchildren: Leyah Johnson, Cash Jacobs, Brantley Jacobs, and Calleigh Jacobs; sisters-in-law, Dee Horton and Jeri Sanford; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends from Michigan and Florida.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice staff, especially his main nurse Missy, for their great compassion and understanding. Please consider honoring Ronald’s life by making a donation in his memory to the HFA Hospice at One Jackson Square, 4th Floor, Jackson, MI 49201.

A private graveside service will be held on Friday, April 17, 2020 at East Rives Cemetery in Rives Junction, Michigan, with Shari Jayne officiating.

Extended family, friends and loved ones will be invited to celebrate Ronald’s life at a memorial service to be held at a later date, after the social distancing and stay home restrictions for the Covid-19 virus are lifted.
