WWII Navy veteran, he enlisted in May 1942 and served on the USS Bremerton in the North African and European theaters. He was discharged December 13, 1945.
He worked at the Gale Shoe Company, the Wall Streeter Shoe Company and as a bartender at the Camplite and Dodd's Tavern. He retired in 1987 from North Adams State College after 18 years.
He was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church and a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, a daughter, a sister, and a grandson.
