Bonnie J. West, 85 of Rogers, AR passed away on Sunday, Dec 29, 2019 after a long battle with COPD. She was surrounded by her two daughters as well as many other family members at the time of her death.
Bonnie was born on July 26, 1934 in Mosca, CO to the late Benjamin & Polly (Garrett) Duncan. She met Harry West and just two weeks later, on May 26, 1950 they married in Taos, NM. They were married 62 years before his death in 2012. In 1968 the family moved to Penrose, CO and later made their home in Canon City. They owned their own trucking company and drove cross country together for more than 40 years. Bonnie was a housewife and a mother who loved to read and cook. She also enjoyed coloring, watching game shows and cooking channels. After the loss of her husband she moved to Rogers, AR to live with family. She was a true inspiration to everyone she met and will be dearly missed by all.
She is survived by her children Larry (Wave) West of Penrose, CO, Linda (Rick) Wilson of Lowell, AR and Susie Walter of Rogers, AR; daughter in law Donna West of Pamona, KS; sister Lenora (Chuck) Rice of Aberdeen, MS; brother, Jack (Donna) Duncan of Williamsburg, CO; 18 grandchildren, more than 40 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband Harry; brothers, Edwin, Beryl and Floyd Duncan and a sister Marie Vanderpool; her son, George West; 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
