Mr. John C. Bullock age 81, of Mt.Vernon passed away on Sunday April 26, 2020 at the Rockcastle Regional Hospital. He was born on July 8, 1938 in Hansford, Ky. the son of the late Ernest and Eliza Renner Bullock. After 32 years John retired from the Rockcastle County School System as a bus driver and grounds keeper. He also had a tree trimming business for 35 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mt.Vernon, he loved watching UK Basketball, and Sanford & Son with his glass of Sweet Tea.
Survivors are: two daughters; Sherry Bullock, and Joy Payne both of Mt.Vernon. One step-son; Ricky Madden of Ohio. One granddaughter Audrey Fletcher & (Kyle) of Mt.Vernon. Three grandsons; Aaron Graves, Johnathan and Dalton Payne all of Mt.Vernon. Five great grandchildren; Kaden, Xander, Kylee, Mason, and Desi also of Mt. Vernon. Four sisters; Sue Branaman of Lexington, Ky., Sylvia LeRoy and (Bob) of Austin, TX, Judith Ervin of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Shirley Willoughby and (Bob) of Madisonville, Ky. Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by: his wife; Sue Audrey Elliott Bullock, by five brothers; Ernest Jr., Hoover, Jess, Kermit, and Paul, and by one sister; Nina Brown.
