She was the owner of The Beauty Shop in Rogersville, where she was a hairdresser for 60years. Joyce was a member of the Rogersville Presbyterian Church and also attended Shady Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Gene Vance; parents, Alvin and Della Fain; brother, Olsen Fain and sister-in-law, Frances; brothers, Deron Fain and Carl Fain; brothers-in-law, Newt Russell and Buddy Mowdy.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at Christian-Sells Funeral Home in Rogersville. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at McKinney Cemetery.
