Paul Darrell Milam 70, of Brenton passed away on Wednesday April 14, 2020 in Raleigh General Hospital following a sudden illness. Paul was a veteran of the US Army, and he was a coal miner. He enjoyed working on cars, and was a collector; he collected everything from guns, NASCAR, knives and so on. He was an avid country and bluegrass music fan. Paul was dedicated to his family and his friends, he loved spending time with them. Paul loved and enjoyed life.

Born July 17, 1949 in Matheny, he was the son of the late Ernest "Casey" Milam (1917-2009) and Nancy Jane Rollins-Milam (1931-2020) of Pineville. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his wife Christine Lane-Milam (1953-2004); his daughter, Pauline Milam- Allen (Deceased); and his brother, Randall Hugh "Huey" Milam (Deceased).

In addition to his mother, he survived by his children, Sandra Milam-Morgan & husband Rodney Morgan, and Steven Milam Sr. & companion Janet Audet; his grandchildren, Tyler England, Hunter England, Sidney Paul Allen, Destiney Day, Kassadi England, Desaray Milam, Steven Milam Jr., Joe Audet, Megan Steele, Caiden Sanders, Conner Sanders, Bentley Smith, and Jace Smith; a number of other children he considered his grandchildren; three great grandchildren, Brynnleigh Allen, Hayden Paul Allen, and Silas England; his sister, Kay Milam-Aliff a& husband Randall Aliff; and his companion Mary Byrd.

A private service will be held at Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny where he will be laid to rest beside his wife.
