Joe graduated from Port Neches-Groves Independent School District, worked for the Kansas City Southern railroad, then attended Lamar University. After graduation he accepted a head baseball coaching position at Moody High in Corpus Christi. He later moved back to Port Neches and continued to coaching sports while helping with the family business, Rob's Relics. Joe then opened a Farmers Insurance agency, serving his clients until he retired.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Robertson; sons, Ryan Robertson and his wife, Brigitte and Kelly Robertson and his two daughters, Riley and Zoey Robertson; sister, Joyce Lowrey; and brother, Randy Robertson and his wife, Kathy Robertson.
A family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 North 12th Street, Nederland.
