Lacy Leroy Thomas, 72, Hopkinsville, died Monday, April 27, 2020, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.

A private graveside service will be at a later date. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

A native of Trigg County, he was born Sept. 9, 1947, the son of the late Lacy Clinton and Dannie Merle Sanders Thomas.

He was retired from Equipment Depo. He served in the U.S. Army, where he did three tours in Vietnam. While in the Army he got the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Air Craft Crew Badge, Vietnam Services Medal and the Air Medal.

He was a member of Eagleway Church of Christ and American Legion and Disabled American Veterans.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Hale Thomas.
