Rachel BROOKS, originally from Scituate, MA, was the daughter of Gilbert and Abigail (Stockbridge) BROOKS, and the 4th great-granddaughter of Richard WARREN, who arrived on the Mayflower in 1620. She was baptized in Scituate on 20 JUL 1740, and relocated to Maine sometime prior to 1761. She and John HEAL filed marriage intentions on 14 MAR 1761 and were married in Georgetown on 2 APR 1761. The Vital Records of Georgetown give Rachel’s date of death as 28 JAN 1822, which is almost certainly correct.
