Husband of Charity Sullivan (1919-1957)

A 76-year-old McDowell County man was found dead at his home Monday, the apparent victim of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police identified the man as Albert Salsgiver of Wilcoe. The man had been dead since Saturday, authorities reported. Born in Tylersburg, Pa., he was the son of George and Mary Salsgiver. He was former coal miner.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Roy (Margaret) Jones of Pageton, Mrs. Betty Walters of Ohio, and Mrs. Mary Parks of Gary; and 13 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Fanning Funeral Chapel in Welch with Rev. Eugene Hodge officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery at Bluefield. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 5 until 9 p.m.
