Peggy Ann Cooper, 81, of Underwood, Indiana, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2020 at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was born on October 14, 1938 in London, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Pikney Wyan and Myrtle (Lovelace) Wyan. Peggy graduated in 1956 from Hazel Green High School in East Bernstadt, Kentucky. She was married on June 20,1959 to Edward Hoyt Cooper, who preceded her in death on on March 26, 2019, after 59 years together. Peggy was a retired commodities trader for Arco Aluminum in Louisville, Kentucky, where she worked 32 years. She was a member of the Scottsburg United Methodist Church, the Scottsburg Bowling League and enjoyed gardening. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Edward Wyan; a sister, Janet French and a brother, Charles Wyan. Survivors include her son, Eric Cooper and his wife Melissa of Brownsburg, Indiana; a sister, Shirley Allen of London, Kentucky and a granddaughter, Courtney Cooper. Services will be private and for immediate family only due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, CDC recommendations, State and Local government mandates and the family's wishes. Interment will be in New Providence Cemetery near Austin, Indiana.
