There are two spellings for His name ~Jairus and Jarius. Wikis spelled it
Jarius, while the Barbour Collection of Connecticut Town Vital Records
reflects the Current Spelling.

Married ~ Naomi Ward 15 May, 1755, in Killingworth, Middlesex County,
Connecticut. Naomi was born in Killingworth, in 1736, and died in 1824.

6) John, 1770-1773, died young
7) Rev. Joy, 1772

He was a resident of Granville, Hampden County, Massachusetts, at one
time. Several of His Children were married there. He moved to New York,
around 1794/1795. According to Pomfret, New York, Library Archives, His
death was in New York, not in Massachusetts, as believed. DAR Records
are incorrect. Thanks to, Wendy Krueger, for this valuable information.

Also in this Cemetery, are His Son, Joy, who was the first Minister of The
First Baptist Church, in Fredonia. Also, a Cousin, Obed Barlow Handy. He
was the Son of Ebenezer and Anna (Barlow) Handy. Ebenezer was born,
in 1751. Anna was born, in 1758.
