Amy Rene Lynch, 39, passed away peacefully after a 3 1/2 month fight with cancer on April 11, 2006. She was born to Edgar D. and Virginia E. (Rausher) Lynch in Omaha, Neb.
Preceded in death by grandparents, Clare A. Rausher, Dan and Lavena Sell, and Edgar and Irene Lynch; sister, Rebecca M. Rausher.
Survivors include her parents of Council Bluffs; brothers, Mark of Council Bluffs and Rod (Tracy) of Guthrie Center; sister Rachel Rausher of Andover, Kan.; grandmother Edith Rausher of Nelson, Neb.; uncle and aunt Bill and Leta Rausher of Liberal, Kan.; nephews and nieces Tyler, Trevor, Hunter, Hannah, and Lauren Lynch of Guthrie Center; many other aunts, uncles, cousins and
friends.
Amy lived in Council Bluffs for the last 36 years and graduated from Lewis Central High School in 1985. She also attended Iowa Western Community College. Amy worked for Omni Hotels
Reservation Center in Omaha, Neb., for the last five years as a payroll clerk. She was
previously employed by National Indemnity.
Amy was a "people person" and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Her hobbies included ceramics, travel, and her Omaha Lancers.
Visitation with the family will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Edwin G.
Steinmetz officiating.
