During early life, she joined Friendship Gholson Baptist Church in DeKalb, MS. She later joined New Jerusalem Pentecostal Church in Shuqualak, MS.
She married Elder Johnny Earl Turner, and their union were blessed with three children, two daughters and one son.
She died April 25, 2020, at the age of 68.
She was the Wife of Elder Johnny Earl Turner; the Mother of Tracy Turner Shanklin, Alex Turner, and Angela Turner; the Daughter of Esaw Belarence Cole and Leila Stennis Cole; the Sister of Bobbie Ruth Cole Brooks Williams, Mary Ann Cole Brock, Catherine Cole Clark Smith, Bessie Rean Cole Brown, James Cole, Leo Cole, and two other siblings; the Paternal Granddaughter of John "Bull" Cole and Bessie Brown Cole; and the Maternal Granddaughter of David "Dave" Stennis and Lillie "Teezie" Grady Stennis.
