Paul was born to David and Billie (Spier) Schoen on April 29, 1963, in Lakeland, Florida. He graduated from Emmanuel Baptist Christian School in Toledo, OH. After graduation, he attended Faith Baptist Bible College and Theological Seminary in Ankeny, Iowa. His focus on higher education eventually led him to Northwest Baptist Seminary in Tacoma, Washington. While at FBBC he met the love of his life Elizabeth and they were joined in marriage on August 10, 1984. They were blessed with two children, Nathan and Timothy.
Paul enjoyed reading and music. He was a member of the Ankeny Baptist Church and was a faithful believer of Jesus Christ. His passion was service. He spent as much time as possible enriching the lives of young people in the AWANA club with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Paul was employed by FBBC and spent the last years of his life serving the students there. Paul had a great sense of humor and a laugh that came from his core.
Paul is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; sons, Nathan and Timothy; brother, Michael (Michelle) Schoen of PA; sis, Kathy (James) Loving of Ohio, and numerous additional family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Billie Jan.
