Charlie had a technology career spanning over sixty years working on missile systems for the U.S. Army and with the early computer giants, Data General, Honeywell, and EMC Corporation. In 1987, he founded CHARAL Group, a global electronics and computer sourcing company based in South Weymouth, Ma.
He enjoyed spending cherished time with family on Cape Cod and will be remembered as a gentleman who was always quick with a story.
Loving son of Walter and Bessie Madden of Quincy. He was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Nellie and his brother, Walter J. Madden. Father to Charles W. Madden and his wife Susan of North Reading, MaryEllen Madden of Germantown, MD, Theresa Chambers and her husband Robert (CDR, USN, Ret.) of Carmel, CA, Elizabeth Zinke of Scituate, Kathleen White and her husband Jasper of Mashpee, Walter H. Madden and his wife Barbara of Weymouth, and son in law Francis Zinke of Mashpee, eleven grandsons: William, Robert, John, Daniel, John, Stephen, Ryan, Benjamin, Samuel (A1C, USAF), Noah, Jacob and four great grandchildren: Bentley, Zoe, Isabella and Eisley.
A private service will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA at a later date where Charlie will be forever reunited with Nellie.
