Clayton A. Cox, Jr, 70, of Weatherford, Texas, passed away Thursday morning, April 23, 2020, in Fort Worth.
A graveside committal service celebrating his life, will be held at 2 P.M., on Monday, April 27, at Holder's Chapel Cemetery.
Clayton was born on May 3, 1949 in Weatherford to Clayton A., Sr., and Margaret Mary Cox. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. On May 7, 1991, Clayton married Linda Mooty to whom he was "everything." He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a devout Christian who loved his Lord Jesus Christ. Clayton was a loving "PaPaw" to his grandchildren.
Clayton is survived by his loving wife, Linda; his daughters, Amy (Tommy) Alverson, Jennifer (Robert) Raulston, and Sherry Cox; his grandchildren, Alix, Piper J., Willie Wade, Dalton, Charlie, Bob, Ryan, Anna, Trenton and JJ; three great-grandchildren, Elijah, Emma, and Elizabeth; his sister, Ann Renfro; his brothers, Paul Cox, Bill Cox, and Richard D'Arcy; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Clayton was preceded in death by his brother, Wade Cox.
