She graduated from Albany Business College, after raising her daughters, Sue returned to college and earned an AAS in Health Information Technology from Alvin Community College. She was a member of Phi Theta Kappa. She worked at Brazosport Memorial Hospital in Lake Jackson, Texas and at Park Ridge Hospital in Hendersonville.
Sue was a long-time member of the Southern Lights Square Dance Club. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband, event planning and decorating. She was always up for a challenge and succeeded in her various endeavors. Sue was a loving and generous person who loved spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Ray Pierce; two daughters, Kristina Lindstrom and her husband, Gary of Auburn, NY and Karen Brady and her husband, Kyle of Cypress, TX; four grandchildren, Josh and Seth Lindstrom and Connor and Megan Brady; one sister, Marjorie Palmatier of Auburn, NY; and by numerous aunts, cousins and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff of Four Seasons Hospice and the Elizabeth House. Their gentle care and concern are greatly appreciated and will not be forgotten.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at St. Timothy United Methodist Church in Brevard. A reception will immediately follow the service at the church.
