Bernard Ernest Arceneaux, a native and resident of Gonzales, died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was 74 and retired from the U.S. Air Force.

Survived by his wife, Margaret Arceneaux, whom he married in Liverpool, England, on Nov. 1, 1952. He is also survived by a daughter, Sandra Marie Graham; grandchildren, Bryan Keith Arceneaux, Char'Lee Marie Guidry, Angele Dawn Guidry and Destin Graham; and a great-grandson, Bryson Keith Arceneaux.

Preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Julienne Arceneaux; two sisters, Zilda Sheets and Myrtle Mayers; and three brothers, Mitchel, Noah and Abel Arceneaux.

He was a member of the Gonzales Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3693.
