Karen Gail (Cook) Daniel was born November 26, 1955 in Borger, Texas to Walter and Bonnie Cook and left this world May 12, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Karen graduated from Coleman High School in 1974 where she met the love of her life.

She married Phil June 21, 1974 at Folsom Free Will Baptist Church where she served faithfully as a Deacon’s wife.

Karen’s career focused on being the model coach’s wife. She worked in Atoka school cafeterias during the day and her evenings were spent at practices and games keeping the many basketball girls and Coach Daniel loved, fed, and motivated. In 1994, Phil and Karen moved back to Coleman where she started working at Sundowner Trailers as the Living Quarters Director. She later worked as the secretary of the [email protected] Nursing Department.

Her hobbies include watching her kids and grandkids play sports; watching the Texas Rangers play (especially Adrian Beltre- her favorite); coloring pictures for everyone in the family; and online shopping!

She will be missed for: her chocolate gravy and cinnamon rolls; calling people by the wrong name (especially Keith); calling everyone “Babe”; loving on and making sure all basketball girls were fed; and always, always making sure her grandkids could sit in her lap and give them lovins. Her kids and grandkids were her pride and joy. She had a healthy use of hyperbole, especially when talking about her kids and grandkids!

She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Bonnie Cook. She is survived by her husband of the home, Phil; daughters - Toni McLemore and husband Kyle of Durant, and Tonya Bucher and husband Quentin of Marietta; son - Trent Daniel and fiance Bre of Marietta.
