Barbara Sue Dennis, 78, of Greenfield passed away Friday, April 24, 2020, at her home.

She was born March 20, 1942, in Batesville, the daughter of Charles J. and Wilma Ruth(Maple)Kile
Neely. On October 24, 1987, she married Thomas L."Tom"Dennis, and he preceded her in death on August 12, 2015.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Duane Robert(Penny)Snyder of Indianapolis, and Jeffrey Allen (Stacy)Snyder of Hagerstown; daughters, Cynthia Kay Greenwell of Jamestown, and Stephanie (Jim)McFatridge of Roselle, Illinois; step-daughter, April Dennis of Hickory, North Carolina; step-son, Thomas Wade(Amy)Dennis of Dunbar, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Kilyssa(Travis)Hamm, Kyra Snyder, Shaun Snyder, Seth Snyder, Dusten(Storey)Snyder, Rachae(Matt)Barr, Kaine(Alyssa) Snyder, Leif(Ashley)Greenwell, Tiffany(Brian)Marschak, Corinne Schultz, Alex(Katherine)Schultz, Harrison Schultz, Rachel Schultz, Blake Dennis, Grayson Dennis, Gavin Poteet, Garet Poteet, Katie Peterson, Ethan Dennis, Lauren Dennis and Ryan Dennis; sister-in-law, Janet Kile of Rushville; nieces, Danielle Flowers and Suzette Kile; and the loving and supportive congregation of Shiloh Christian Church.

In addition to Tom, Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, William Kile.

Barbara graduated from Rushville Consolidated High School in 1960, and continued her education at Ivy Tech College.

She was a member of Shiloh Christian Church.

Barbara was a bookkeeper at Crane Works for 17 years, retiring in 2017. She and Tom also owned and operated Signs by SuLane.

She played piano for two gospel groups, Melody Masters and Visions. Barbara also taught piano lessons.

Barbara enjoyed playing in a Euchre Club and working jigsaw puzzles.

She also leaves behind her dog, Precious.

Private visitation will be held.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 27, 2020, at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown, with Pastor Fred Girdwood officiating. Please follow COVID-19 guidelines on social distancing, of remaining six(6)feet apart or remaining in your cars.

Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 124 E. North St. in Morristown.
