He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Margaret M. [Muncil] Carney, his children Grace (Brian Campbell) Vona , Jamie (Rich) Unkle, James (Heidi) Carney, Kathleen (Daniel) Deer, Pauline Carney, Michael (Christina) Carney and Matt (Kathy) Carney, 20 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Brother in Law-Wade Beam and many nieces and nephews.
He is the brother of the late Frances Beam, Jack(Sally) Carney, Alta(Floyd) Meyer and father of the late Alan Carney and William Carney.
Owner and operated Carney Plumbing and Heating for over 30 years. After retiring from the business, he became Building and plumbing inspector for the Town of Wheatfield.
He served for many years at Ascension Church and received the St Joseph The Worker award from the Bishop for his exemplary service.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Holy Name Society, and the church choir. He also belonged to the Loyal order of the Moose, Avon Park Aeromodelers club, Tanglewood RV club and Caloosa Winnies club.
A Mass of Christian Burial and Celebration of his Life will be held at a future date.
