She departed this earthly life on Monday, September 17, 2018. Lisa was a 1985 graduate of Weldon High School and Strayer University, and she became a CNA. Lisa was a loving and caring young lady who was family-oriented and soft spoken and had a passion about many things. Lisa was proceeded in death by her father Richard Powell.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Friday, Sept. 21 at the chapel of H.D. Pope Funeral Home, 520 Smith Church Road in Roanoke Rapids, which is handling the arrangements.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Weldon.
