Jean Yates, 74, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2020. She was born on May 7, 1945.

She was a teacher at Jeffersontown High School, member of the Kentucky Education Association and author of the book, Bits and Pieces, The Fabric of a Family.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, James and Myrtie Hawkins; brothers, James, Hubert and Charles Hawkins; and sister, Alma Pearce.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Roger; sons, Barry and Marvin (Jennifer); six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her sister, Nora Christman.
