Ruby Pauline Blankenship, 79 of Pipestem formerly of Lashmeet died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family Friday evening, April 17, 2020. Born January 1, 1941 at Beeson she was the daughter of the late William Wesley Tiller and Nora Ella Lester Tiller.

Ruby was a retired housekeeper from Princeton Health Care Center. She attended Shawnee Baptist Church. Ruby loved her family, a clean car, clean house and her flowers in the summertime. She loved to go shopping with her sister Judy and visit her brother Weldon and sit on the porch with him. She enjoyed listening to music.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Roland Tiller and Junior Tiller.

Survivors left to cherish her memory are one son, Nicky Blankenship and wife Teshea of Pipestem with whom she made her home; one daughter, Deborah Staton and husband Greg of Princeton; one brother, Weldon Tiller of Henderson, NC; two sisters, Imogene Welton of Portland, ME and Judy McKenzie of Lashmeet; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; five step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to give special thanks to her caregiver, Teshea.

Funeral services will be private with Rev. Ron Thomure officiating. Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
