Amelia "Millie" Zak Rogers, 89, died on Tuesday, (November 29, 2005), in
Westminster, California.
A native of Suffield, she was an alumna of Suffield School, Class of 1934,
and Bay Path Junior College. Later a teller at the First National Bank in
Suffield, she became branch manager of an office which the bank opened at
Bradley Field. In 1945, Millie moved to California where she served as man-
ager of the American Airlines office in Long Beach until she retired. She
was married to Haviland G. "Buster" Rogers, who predeceased her.
She leaves her sister, Ann Kinstle of Mansfield, OH, and nine nieces and
nephews, including her niece-careperson, Sara Zak of Westminster, CA, and
her surrogate granddaughter, Cheryl Bixby, of Spokane, WA. Millie is also
survived by her extended Rogers family in California. She was predeceased
by her brothers Robert and Amiel of Suffield, and John and Bernard of Wind-
sor.
A memorial service will be held in Westminster at a date to be announced.
A memorial Mass and interment of ashes will be held in Suffield in the spring
of 2006. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
