James Franklin "Jim" Muse, 80 years of age, of Ferguson, Kentucky, departed this life Wednesday, April 22nd, 2020 at the Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.

Jim was born in Ferguson, Kentucky on September 3rd, 1939, son of the late Terrell J. and Grace Wheeler Muse. He was a member of Somerset First United Methodist Church, former Pastor, Mayor of Ferguson for three terms, member of Ferguson Fire Department, and board member of Pulaski County Fire Board Association.

Jim was survived by his loving wife, Kimber Muse, four sons, Doug (and Tammie) Muse, Frank (and Tina) Muse, Thaddeus Lee (and Mandy) Cox, and Anthony Eric Cox; one daughter, Amanda Gayle Cox; two brothers, Bob Muse and Mike Muse; three sisters, Jean Bumgardner, Judy Muse, and Sandra Stevens; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Terrell Muse, who departed this life on March 31st, 1983 and Grace Muse, who departed this life on November 21st, 1998; his first wife, Mildred Haste Muse, who departed this life on December 30th, 1991; one son, Nathaniel Coy Cox; and one brother, Jerry D. Muse.

Private graveside services were held in the Southern Oaks Cemetery with Bro. David Muse and Bro. Chris Basil officiating.

The Southern Oaks Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky was in charge of the arrangements for Jim.
