Kathryn McGaughy Campbell, 74, entered into rest on April 5, 2020. She was born on December 21, 1945, to the late Theron Leroy and Mary Stallard McGaughy in Camden Arkansas.

Following her graduation from Arlington Heights High School in Fort Worth, she enlisted in the U.S. Navy where she served honorably as a member of the WAVES. After leaving the Navy she later worked for the government in the General Services Administration in several locations until her retirement.

Kathryn loved music, played the piano and had a beautiful singing voice. She enjoyed genealogy and loved to research and document her family’s history. She loved to write, inheriting the love of poetry from both her mother and grandmother, and she authored many poems of her own. She was a member of the Church of Christ and her faith was central in her life.

While she spent many years in Missouri, she always stayed true to her Fort Worth roots.

She is survived by her husband Kenneth D. Campbell of 36 years; her brother Edward Leroy (Suzanne) McGaughy, her children Mell D. Dixon Jr, Michael K. (Monica) Dixon, Melissa Dixon (Chuck) Cronk, Travis W. (Jayda) Dixon. Ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be private with a memorial service to be held later.
