He was retired from the United States Post Office.
Tom is survived by his wife of 52 years, Priscilla Kay (Cordell) Dalton; daughter, Tamara Dalton of Terre Haute; son, Thomas E. “Tom” Dalton II (Lisa) of Evansville; sisters, Roberta Shuck, Joann Adams, Pauline Houston, and Brenda Walls; brother, Bill Hummel; grandchildren, Austin Anderson and Adeline Anderson and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, LeNore Beddow and brothers, Howard Dalton, Harold Dalton, and James Hummel.
Tom was a member of the West Terre Haute Lodge #687 F.&A.M. and he enjoyed camping.
Cremation has been chosen with burial at a later date in New Harmony Cemetery. DeBaun Springhill Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
