He retired as pastor of Northwest Avenue Church of Christ, Tallmadge, where he had served since 1984.
He previously served on the board of Round Lake Christian Assembly, where he was dean of church camp.
He graduated from New Market High School, New Market, Indiana, and Lincoln Christian College, Lincoln, Illinois.
He married Marjorie Vincent. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Kevin and Keith, both of Orrville; a daughter, Keri Baldwin, at home; two brothers, Harold, Memphis, Tenn., and Dale, Crawfordsville; two sisters, Martha Carrell and Faye Swisher, both of Crawfordsville; and three grandchildren.
Two brothers, Russell and John, and a grandson are deceased.
