William Henry Starr, 71, 1201 Kentucky street, Elwood, died unexpectedly this morning at a St. Joseph hospital, where he was admitted Monday.
Born at Highland, Mr. Starr had lived in Elwood about 12 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church there.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Katie M. Starr; three sons, Robert E. Starr and Noland H. Starr, both of Elwood, and Francis H. Starr, St. Joseph; four daughters, Miss Mattie A. Starr of the home; Mrs. Shirley J. Young, Elwood; Mrs. Louise M. Barksdale and Mrs. Sandra S. Broussard, both of St. Joseph; three sisters, Mrs. Stella Pennel, Highland; Mrs. Emma Hayes, Troy; and Mrs. Mattie Lyle, Seattle, Wash., and 11 grandchildren.
The body is at the Alexander mortuary.

Mr. Starr was a native of Highland, Kan., and had lived in Elwood about 12 years. He died unexpectedly Friday morning at a local hospital, where he was admitted Monday.
