CUBA - Lawrence R. "Buddy" Little, 67, of 9030 Spring St., Cuba, passed away unexpectedly Sunday (May 12, 2019) at home.
Born July 16, 1951, in Cuba, he was a son of Richard and Donna Finch Little. On June 29, 1974, in Angelica, he married the former Linda Bailor, who survives.
Buddy was a graduate of Richburg Central School, Class of 1969. He later graduated from Alfred State College with an electrician's degree.
He had worked on the oil derricks in Houston, Texas and Casper, Wyo., eventually becoming a supervisor for the building of oil rigs. When he returned to Cuba, he began working as an electrician, for the city of Olean, retiring in 2011, after 20 years with the city.
Buddy enjoyed riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, hunting, NASCAR and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; two daughters, Misty (Jon) Jacobik of Summerville, S.C. and Jesse (Andy) Goodwin of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; a son, Damian Little of Cuba; five granddaughters, Haley, Jenna, Zoe, Lila and Molly; two brothers; and a sister, Robin Little of Olean.
He was predeceased by his parents; and a daughter, Cory Little, in 1997.
A celebration of life service will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday (May 25, 2019) at the Hinsdale American Legion Post 1434, Route 16, Hinsdale.
