William Otis (Billy) McPherson, left his earthy home Thursday April 16, 2020 at the home of his son, Charlie(Cristy). Billy was ready to go to his heavenly home to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ.

William Otis McPherson was born on February 13, 1953 to the late J.W. Warren and Bessie McPherson. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, step-father George Edward Johnson, sisters Freida Johnson, Ophelia Huffman, a brother James Johnson and wife Wanda(Corky) McPherson.

Billy joined St. Paul Predestinarian Baptist Church in Lancaster, Kentucky at an early age. Billy returned to church before his illness and often asked for prayer and thanked God for his goodness toward him.

Billy attended Mason and Stanford High School. Billy was known to be a very good mechanic at the Chevrolet Garage until he retired due to disability. Billy enjoyed life, he loved fishing with his buddy, the late Dewey Leavell. They would leave early in the morning hoping to return with a cooler full of fish. When he wasn't fishing you could find him hanging out with family and friends on his front porch, laughing and cutting-up. He was a simple man that will be greatly missed, leaving many fond memories.

He is survived by his four sons; Trent (Chantay) Ison of Lancaster, William "Willie" McPherson(Virginia) of Danville, Maurice Carson of Danville, and Adopted son, Charlie "Homer" (Cristy) McPherson of Lancaster; three daughters, Tammy Jean Coulter, Melinda McPherson, and LaWanda (Stephen) Ford of Danville; three sisters, Patricia Ann(Dennis) Miller of Stanford, Frances Johnson of Lancaster, Tina (Chris) Simpson of Stanford; two brothers, Robert(Bob)Johnson of Danville and James "Jimmy" Warren of Lancaster; three aunts, Laverne Williams, Mary Bradshaw, and Cathy Hill all of Lancaster; two uncles, Tom McPherson of Lancaster, and George McPherson of Louisville; nineteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A private funeral will be held Monday, April 27, 2020 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Barry Bowman officiating. A private burial will be in Duncantown Cemetery.
