Obituary
Ann Taylor Johnson, 86, of Omega passed away Monday, May 16, 2022. She was born November 14, 1935, to Marinda Taylor and was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Johnson; her son, Michael Johnson; and her mother. Mrs. Johnson was a long-time member of Omega Methodist Church and had the heart of a servant. One way she demonstrated her love for Christ was by serving her church family in many capacities throughout her life. She lived out the command in Ephesians 4:32 - " And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ."

Mrs. Johnson graduated from Omega High School and worked at Moody's Movie Theatre in Omega after school, which initiated a lifetime love of musicals and movies. She also worked at Blue Ridge Shoe Company and later the Omega School. She always enjoyed running into her former students in the recent years. Mrs. Johnson's calendar was always full of adventures with friends, getting ready for a special occasion by baking cakes and cookies, and spending time with her family. Her faith in Jesus Christ sustained her through many trials and shaped her into a humble, giving person.

Mrs. Johnson is survived by her two daughters and their families, Melinda and Marty Moore of Tifton, Melanie Johnson and Peggy Crawford of Smyrna; grandchildren, Mallory and Austin Griffin, Jake Moore; great grandson Branch Griffin; brother-in-law Joe Johnson; as well as a host of friends who are like family.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2022, at Omega Methodist Church. Pastor Christopher House will officiate, followed by Michael Massey delivering the eulogy, and burial at the Omega Cemetery. Pallbearers will include grandson, Jake Moore; grandson-in-law, Austin Griffin; nephew, Joel McLeod; Danny Dickens, Michael Massey, Brian Ponder and Ken Ponder.
