Obituary from Skagit Valley Herald:
On April 13th 2015 Joshua Wayne Ellis together with his beloved wife Vanessa Marie Ellis (Brown) and beloved son Hudson Wayne Ellis were called away suddenly to their new home in Heaven with Jesus.

Joshua was born in Skagit County Washington in 1989, to parents Wayne and Rhonda Ellis. He is survived by his sister, Jessica Colleen Ellis and his God sister Makayla and extended family members.

Joshua was a gift from the very beginning. He brought joy to everyone that was around him. His smile and his laugh were simply contagious, and he already had a heart for worship at the age of three. Joshua is simply love.

He attended La Conner school eventually entering Burlington High School. Joshua was a bit of a class clown. Some of his favorite things were fishing with his dad, worshiping with his sister camping, hanging out with his cousins, and skateboarding like no tomorrow thats, until he got his first guitar.

In March of 2010 Joshua married the perfect woman and his best friend and became youth leaders. With that came an explosion of even more love as they poured out upon countless numbers of young youth in surrounding communities. Their love was a perfect illustration of how God intended marriage to be, and their example of love and faith to one another and in Christ (enough said) God said "this is good"!

In August of 2014 they welcomed their beautiful son, Hudson Wayne Ellis. Josh poured over, with more smiling, contagious ,joy and humor, because he was living his dream. The dream of serving God to the fullest, being the greatest husband ever, and the best daddy on this planet. This powerful exploding love that they had, was a perfect match to every deposit they made on everyone the touched.

Our hearts are broken, but for them, Joshua, Vanessa and Hudson, are still living the dream in their new home: HEAVEN.

Vanessa Marie Ellis (Brown), together with her beloved husband, Joshua Wayne Ellis and beloved son, Husdon Wayne Ellis, met Jesus, face to face.

Vanessa was born in July, 1985 and grew up on Camano Island with her brother, Zach Brown and parents, John and Diane. Vanessa lived life joyously and passionately.

She loved people and her laughter was contagious. It was no surprise when Vanessa was voted class clown in her senior year. She adored being a youth pastor and serving middle and high school students, loving them unconditionally. Vanessa loved to write and share both life's victories and struggles. She had a gift of relating to young people and letting them know how valued they were by their Creator.

In March, 2010, Vanessa married her best friend, Joshua Wayne Ellis, the love of her life. Their life was a celebration of love for Jesus, one another and those they served. In August of 2014, they welcomed their most cherished gift, a beautiful son, and named him Hudson Wayne Ellis. Vanessa loved being a mother and, as usual, found humor in those moments of new motherhood. She will always live on in the hearts of those she touched. Even though our hearts are broken we know she is experiencing perfect peace in her new home with her beloved husband and son.

The memorial will be held at 3pm Saturday, April 25th, 2015 at His Place Church, 1480 S. Burlington Blvd., Burlington, WA 98233.
